How to default unformatted text to "normal" so it has <p> tags around it in the RTE?

Hello all;

Is there a way to default unformatted text typed in the RTE to automatically surround it with <p> tags?

Procedurally:  Honestly, I take most text I am copy/pasting from anything into Notepad (specifically Notepad...) first so all formatting and weird stuff is stripped out, then copy/paste from there to Salesforce.

Systemically:  The RTE stores HTML - you could use a insert/update trigger to interrogate that field and do the replacement as you wish.
