Modify or remove custom fields from managed released package

We have a managed release package hosted on AppExchange.
However, we want to modify/remove some of the custom fields when we upload the next version of our package.
Is it possible? Could you please share the detailed steps for the same?

You can't modify the managed packages.

Hi,
  • You can remove certain custom fields in managed package, but you will not be able create any other field with the same API name of the deleted field.
  • In case of modification you can only change the field label, API name or field type change is restricted in managed package.
