Regarding salesforce editions

Hi,
Iam trying to create an app with soap or rest api (a third party app for salesforce integration), I came to know that the API access is there for Professional and above versions..I got this point.

But if I build the app and then releases will the clients having group and contact versions able to use my app? as my app mainly needs the api access?

quick help is highly appreciated..thanks

Hello Ash,

API Access is not available for Group and Contact version.

Please refer following chart which is compare with Salesforce Editions:

If its helps, please mark as best answer so it will help to other who will serve same problem.

Hi Srikanth,

So the users using Contact or Group editions cannot access this app? so even salesforce integration apps like Marketo and other apps cannot be integrated with these above versions?

Basically what I undestand is to use any app(marketo - SF, with in SF integrations), you should be a professional or above..right?

Yes, Ash.

As you can check on this product's Details page, You will see an Edition section in which they mention the editions for the product.

Hi Srikant,
Understood, but some/other integration apps, I can see Group versions are also there in the details of the app.
https://appexchange.salesforce.com/results?filter=GE : the link is apps which can work for even Group editions too.

now, how do these apps provide their services for group version though there is no API access (I noticed some apps listed in above, where api access is needed) :)

Thanks.
