can  we enter values in fields of an object without assigning tab to that object? if yes how?

  • If that object act as child for any other object in your org, then you can include the object in the related list section of the parent record from there you can able to enter value to that object without assigning tab.
  • The other way is you can able to add value to the object programmatically

Other than what Karanraj metnion.. you can access list view of object by entering first 3 char of object record and it will open list view then you can see New button. For example if you add /001 in your org base url then all accounts will be listed and you can see new button even tab was not exlosed to you.
If you want to hide this permission then you need to remove all permission from profile.
