Deleting the duplicate standard buttons in detail page.

I see standard buttons 'edit', 'delete', 'clone' twice in a details page. I want to remove the standard buttons that appear in the middle of the page. How can I accomplish this?

This cannot be done in standard detail pages. You need to create a Visualforce page to do this.

Yes you can remove it, just drag the button to the pallette on top.

See my example below, I removed the standard Edit button and put in a new "WS Edit" button.

Hi Tim,

Thanks for the reply. In my case, those buttons are visible only once (on top of the page) in my page layout. So there is no provision to delete the buttons that are on the middle of the detail page.
