Deleting Force.com IDE projects in Eclipse

If I want to delete Force.com IDE projects I created in Eclipse, would that affect my production instance of Salesforce at all? I'm just trying to make room for Eclipse (keep running into JavaHeapMemory issues).

Hi Felicia,

Once you will try to remove Force.com IDE Project it will ask you whether you want to delete from Server as well, You need to click No

So, when I delete something (either an entire project or a component), I don't get that remote delete confirmation screen. It just gets deleted. I'd share a screenshot but I can't seem to upload it.

it seems like you have offline mode setup for your eclipse. you can delete directly ;)

Phew! So where can I confirm that I am in offline mode :) I trust you, but I'd like to see this as well before I delete something.
