Iterable batch to create records

Hi all,

I've created an sObject which summarizes task activity hours of a resource for a specific week. I need to make a batch job that creates these Weekly Utilization records for every week for every resource, even if there are no task activities for some weeks. I am new to apex and have difficulties to get started with this, so any help will be appreciated.
