Adding an Existing Component to a Custom Community Lightning Component

How can I add the existing 'Profile Header' (selfService:profileMenu) lightning component to my custom component? I am creating a custom header lightning component for my Kokua template and want to add the profile header to it.

I have been trying to do the same. Did you get an answer about this?

Alan,

This is what I received from Salesforce Developer Support on September 29th 2015:

"this is a by default component and unfortunately it cannot be merged with custom components currently. I will follow up with the Product team and intimate them regarding this feature. This is something Working as Design."

They never got back to me regarding the follow-up and I'm not sure how the whole "intimate them" thing went...

Overall, I have not been able to find a solution for this.

Thank Paul for the reply. One possible idea we are thinking is to have a custom layout which is new for Spring 16' - and we could potentially have two columns side by side, one for the custom header component with logo, the other side is the standard profile header. Not tested year, we shall try.
