Feed-Based Layout Option for custom object page layout

Hi

I am not finding Feed-Based Layout Option while creating page layout for custom objects. The same is available for standard object like Account. Is it expected behavior?

No, it should be available. Can you share what custom object settings you have? Maybe something is going on there.

But if you reference this knowledge article, it made clear that : "Feed-based layouts are available on account, contact, lead, opportunity, and custom objects."

Please find the screenshot for both Account & Custom Objects. Feed-Based Layout Option is available in only Account Object.

Any resolution for this problem? I can't see it either in my DE environment.

Found the solution: Enable Feed Tracking for the custom object before you create a new page layout. After feed tracking is enabled, the checkbox appears.
