Certification Changes

Hi all,
I am planned to write DEV 401 exam,but after the certification changes announced by salesforce i am getting little confusion.

1.Which is the basic certification.
2.If App bulider certification is basic means,then questions are same as DEV 401 or different.
3.What are the prerequisite for Platform develper 1 exam.

Existing Salesforce Certified Force.com Developers will continue to be recognized in the Salesforce Certification program and can maintain their credentials. We recommend for individuals interested in this credential to consider pursuing the Salesforce Certified App Builder and/or Salesforce Certified Platform Developer I credentials.

The old Dev 401 has been replaced by the new Salesforce Platform App Builder Certification (http://certification.salesforce.com/app-builders). As you could see in the link material an topics are the same as previous Force.com Developer certification (401) so if you have already started studing this material you would not need to start again with different documents. And there is no pre-requisietes.

From my point of view, Salesforce has just re-named this certification and gave a better section for it. As you can see during your study time, this exam is related to platform feature rather than development. 

Regarding questions. If you have already taken a look at some 401 test examples that you can find on internet, I'm afraid you are not going to find exactly the same questions. They would be similar, and of course they can help you to learn more about 401. But before releasing new certifications, some of us where asked to participated on the pilot program that meaned to do an exam for these new certifications with lot of questions. Finally Salesforce would select some of them for the final exam. To sum up. New certifications have new questions.

Unfortunatly I cannot do it. I registered for this pilot program but I was not selected. I did the new Dev 501 certification. That's why I can say to you that questions are different but similar to the previous one.

Don't worry too much about questions :)
