What should i purchase force.com or salesforce.com

Which license should I use (force.com  or salesforce.com) if I want to develop a complex application with many reports?

If your application don't have any link for CRM application and related module then go with the force.com licences. Salesforce.com liecense provide the CRM functioanlity (Account,contact, opportunity and etc.,) if you don't want to touch the CRM application then you can go with the force.com liecense

If you want to have custom applications which does not include salesforce.com standard CRM features of Sales, Service or Marketing cloud, you can go with Force.com platform.
