The 'My Recent Contacts' list view was not found

i'm trying to create a list view. which i thought I had done successfully.  I keep getting this message.
i feel like i keep running into a brick wall on this project. 
do I need to create some fake contacts in order for this list view to be found????!

Mine wouldn't find the "Recent Contacts" until I saved it.  That did the trick.  I floundered as well, but I have a VIP in the family.

what does that mean, you have a VIP in the family. obviously , i saved the work i did, that doesnt seem to be the issue at all. do you have somewhere we can chat about this? thank u

Dear Barry, I'm happy to speak by phone. I am an android user, so I don't have "face time". I do, however, follow facebook and have a cell phone (919-237-1043). My daughter is Amber Neill Boaz, a VIP and she helps me, often. Today she suggested that I close everything, even my browser, and log into everything again. That step resolved a couple of things. So, I pass that suggestion on to you. My Monday runs from 9:00am to 9:00pm, so after 9:00pm, I could get on to Trailhead with you and we can see how we can help each other. Further, I believe we can "follow" each other, but I'm not sure how to do that. But having a fellow struggler is a great gift. Merrily
