Hi,

Please check the Field Level Security of those fields and make sue your profile has access to those fields. if you are able to see them then you have read access but make sure you also have edit access on those fields(Make it Visible).

Is this a standard page or visualforce page? If visualforce page then we need to see controller code and page markup.

Hi,

You could check Field Level Security for the other profile and make sure field is not read only.

IF FLS is fine  then make sure that the page layout assigned for Employee's profile does not have it read only from PageLayout Level. For the you could go to page layout and find the field on layout and check properties.
