Custom Home Page Components in Salesforce Lightning

Is there any way to make the Salesforce Classic custom home page components (the components that display in the sidebar on most pages in Salesforce Classic) compatible with Salesforce Lightning UI with the same functionality?

Hi Eric,

Assuming that you are referring to Lightning Experience, I'm afraid that currently this is not possible. Anyway, don't discard this to happen, maybe as a lightning component, but truth be told, this sidebar does not seem to match very well with the new UI...
