Where i can create layout creation practice.

Today is my first day to learn sales force admin.

This is paragraph I am reading:
Now, if you don’t know how to update page layouts or make custom fields yet, don’t worry, we’ll get there (check out theModifying Page Layouts unit and Creating Custom Objects and Fields when you’re ready).

Where is the IDE to practice this?
Plz help me out for this.
Thank you.

Hi Manoj,

For practicing all salesforce standard or Administrator related stuff you need to have a Developer Org created for Salesforce. Use this link developer.salesforce.com to sign up and create your own Developer Org and you can practice all these things there.
Specifically for page layouts navigate to any objects records. Following screenshots are sample showing editing page layout for Contact record.

1. Navigate to Any object's record detail page and click Edit Layout link highlighted.

2. You can the drag down to add fields to layout and drag up to remove fields from layout. Also explore salesforce help on the same topic to know all about this.

Do you have Salesforce Developer Org created? If not create using this link : http://developer.salesforce.com . As soon as you log into that org, you can see various tabs as shown in above screenshots as Accounts, Contacts, etc.
Then navigate to that tab and create a record for that object by clicking "New" button and fill some data and "Save". After Save you can see detail page for that record as shown above and then follow above mentioned steps.

There are different URL's to log in to Salesforce Developer Org and Sandbox.
Developer : http://login.salesforce.com
Sandbox : http://test.salesforce.com
