How can a Trigger be made active or inactive?

I'm working through the Trailhead, and in there the challenges mention a trigger being "active".

I can't find a means to make a trigger "inactive" or "disabled", other than deleting it.   This would be very convenient.  I feel like I must be mssing something somewhere.

Thx, Bob

If you open the trigger in the developer console you can uncheck the active box at the top.  Alternately you can goto setup -> develop -> Apex Triggers, edit your trigger and click the "is active" box

If this is a trigger from a managed package you cannot see the content.  This is only applicable to triggers that you wrote in your org.
