chatter:feed component within communities

Hi All,

The developer documentation for chatter:feed component (https://developer.salesforce.com/docs/atlas.en-us.pages.meta/pages/pages_compref_chatter_feed.htm) states that Chatter components are unsupported for Visualforce pages served via Force.com sites.

Can i confirm that this only applies for unauthenticated pages, and that they will work on authenticated pages?
