I need to convert a lead into an account with the exact same info.

So I have a lead with the section "Literature/Sample Information" in it with samples and dates and what not, and I need it to populate the same fields in the same section on the account layout when converted. Please advise on how to do this because I have already created the exact same section with the exact same fileds in an account and the do not populate.

Hi Sean,

I'm no sure if you've tried this yet, but on the Lead fields section in the setup menu you can map fields you created on the Lead to specific Account fields (I believe). If this is the case you should then be able to convert a lead and have it create an account which would map those new custom fields into the Account fields.
