Custom Button Coding

Just wondering what code I would need to have to cdreate a custom button on the products related list under opportunities that will filter the products by Product Family, any ideas?

Hi Sandhya, Thank you this is very helpful. My button works, the only issue is that it doesn’t actually perform the filter. I still have to click Search. Is there a way to automate that within the button?

Never mind, I figured it out. srtOrd works.

One more question. Currently it opens the new URL within the existing Salesforce window so it shows the tabs twice. This may get confusing to users. How would I get it to just open it normally like any other screen?
