Is there a way to show Dashboard to specified users?

Hi,

In our SFDC, there are many apps, and our admin removed Dashboard in homepage. One app's user want to show dashboard, is there a way to only show Dashboard in that app user's homepage and hide Dashboard in other user's homepage?
Another option is show Dashboard in a new tab, is it achiveable?

Thanks and Regards,
WenLong

Hello WenLong Tan,

There are a few things to consider depending on what you need:

1 - If you want to control visibility on your homepage and assuming that is at Profile level, you can create a different homepage layout where the dashboard will be displayed. After that you can assign it to each profile allowed to see it.

2 - If you want a more specific access, such as at user level, you can return the dashboard view to the homepage and create a dashboard folder then moving the dashboard that you want to grant access to it and granting access by user, profile, group, role, etc. Moreover, by controlling it at folder level, you should not worry of leaving the dashboard at the homepage because users will only see dashboards to which they have access to.
