How to perform search using first letter in Multi-select pick-list values(Lightening)?

Hi Guys, we recently switched to lightening from classic. We have a multi-select picklist field where there are 25 picklist values in it. Users should be able to select multiple options by doing search on first letter, but in lightening when we perform search then the picklist values which we selected are getting deselected. Is there any solution for this Issue?

yes this is the issue in lightning. to multi select the values select the first value, press control key and scroll untill the second value select the value by pressing the control key

Hi there, is there an update on this. It's very frustrating for my Users to not be able to always click on the letter to jump on the list. 
Also, you can't double click on the choice to move it over.. will anything be done here?
