Hi Vibhuti,

--Summary
Assets quick create in Work Order or Maintenance Asset objects are throwing an error "You need to specify a contact on the case first."

--Repro
From Maintenance Asset or Work Order detail page, click on Asset lookup.
In the window, try creating a new Asset to get the error:

You need to specify a contact on the case first

--Workaround
Create Asset records in a regular way then use the search from the lookup.

--Updates
This issue has been resolved in Summer '18 only in Lightning Experience

I hope you find the above solution helpful. If it does, please mark as Best Answer to help others too.

Thanks and Regards,
