Building a Custom Record Page for Lightning Experience

I keep getting the "Challenge Not yet Complete......... Here's whats wrong"
Lightning page named 'New Account Page' does not appear to have the correct components on it.

The new record page must use the 'Header and Two Columns' template, be called 'New Account Page', and be assigned to the Account object. (Check this is done)
The page must have the Highlights Panel and Twitter components, and a Tabs component with these tabs containing these components: (Check this is done)
Activity Tab contains the Activities Component - Complete
Collaborate Tab contains the Feed Component - Complete
Related Tab contains the Related Lists Component - Complete
Details Tab contains the Record Detail Component - Compelte

Here is a screen shot, I believe I have all the items I am supposed to as well as what goes inside the components.

Hi Brennan,

I had the same issue. The solution for passing the challenge was: Tha tab can't contains the components, that is, "Activity tab", "Collaborate tab", "Related tab" and "Details tab" must be empty. This is a picture with my "New Account Page".

Let me know if it helps you.

Hi, how come I dont see Twitter Component and also tried to search in App Exchange, still no luck. Any pointers?

Never mind, fixed it.

I encounted the same issue but it the solution of emptying the tabs did not work.  The problem ended up being that I was creating custom labeled tabs for Collaborate and Activity where there are standard tabs with these labels.  You must use the standard tabs to pass the test.
Jan KremerJan Kremer
Hi Gnana - how did you fix the Twitter Component? Can't find it either...
Gnana SilaparasettiGnana Silaparasetti
@Jan Kremer, you need to enable Social Media on your Org first and that is the actual challenge here.
Customize --> Social Media --> Social Accounts, Contacts, and Leads Settings --> Check all that is applicable
You should be all set with the assignment.

Here's the screen shot.
Enable Social Media on SalesForce

I m having the same problem as mentioned on the top that is "  'Challenge Not yet Complete......... Here's whats wrong
Lightning page named 'New Account Page' does not appear to have the correct components on it."

Even after making the tabs empty as suggested by "Guiomar Fernández" the problem remains same.

Plz someone guide me.

I had the same problem.
Joe Turner Indy's post also helped me.
So to summarize, you should not use custom labels, and you should keep tabs empty, which is very strange.
I think this challenge should be reviewed.

Seems like a Bug. So the Solution I found to clear the Challenge is, Don't add any Sub Components to the Tabs. for e.g Do not Add Activities Component to the ACTIVITY Tab. And then try to change their name type to Standard from Custom after you add the tabs.
It worked for me. Anyway the order of the Tabs is not a concern. Cheers do Trailhead !!!

Worked for me perfectly!

Hi [Guiomar Fernández de Bobadilla], I did whatever is suggested in this post. It didn't work.

I had a different issue. I was not able to find the component with name 'Collaborate' under the standard components list. I found out that the Chatter feed in the new Lightning Experience is referred to as Collaborate. The below solution worked for me.

I hope it helps someone who's stuck with the similar issue.

I faced similar issue. Have to drop the "feed" component under the Collaborate tab to make it work. Hope it helps !

Yes, there is no longer any "Collaborate" tab. It has been replaced by the "Chatter" tab. Use these instructions for this challenge instead of the ones listed in Trailhead:

Give your users a customized view of their accounts by creating a custom account record page.
  1. The new record page must use the 'Header and Two Columns' template, be called 'New Account Page', and be assigned to the Account object.
  2. The page must have the Highlights Panel in the top area; the Twitter component in the lower right area, and a Tabs component in the lower left area with these standard tabs:
    1. Activity Tab (do not add any components to the tab)
    2. Chatter Tab (do not add any components to the tab)
    3. Related Tab (do not add any components to the tab)
    4. Details Tab (do not add any components to the tab)
  3. The page must be activated.

The "Collaborate" tab being replaced by the "Chatter" tab is a change for Winter '17. Not all orgs will see this option yet. For example, I don't see it in many of my DEs yet, because they haven't yet been upgraded to Winter '17.

All of Trailhead gets updated to Winter '17 at the same time as the rest of Salesforce documentation - the last weekend of the release.

On the other issue, where the tabs can't contain a component, I've logged and bug and we will investigate on our side.

The placement of the components on the page doesn't matter.

Thanks for the feedback.

If anyone is still having problems with this unit, can you please send my your org credentials. I've tried with both Summer and Winter orgs and with and without components in the tabs and everything works. I can't seem to break anything... which is very unusual for me.

Thanks!

I've been trying to work around it for a while, and finally landed here... Thanks @Sujay Patel, your solution worked for me.

Confirming that Andrew B. Davis's solution is the one that is working right now.  Biggest gotcha was using the Chatter tab (not the Feed tab or a Custom tab).

Tried everything suggested here, still can't get it to work, Salesforce needs to fix this.

I had the same issue. I used Sujay's suggestion. It worked for me. There is no "Collaborate" Tab lable under standard tab name so we have to select "Chatter" as Tab lable. In this way you can clear the challenge.
Artavazd AvetisyanArtavazd Avetisyan
Have the same problem too. Instead of "Collaboarte" I've added the "Chatter" standard tab (as Sujay Patel 1 suggested) and leave all tabs empty. That worked for me. A little bit strange - the challenge obviously should be revised.

Thanks to Andrew's and Gnana's comments I was finally able to resolve this issue. Thanks to all for your support here! The Trailhead Team really needs to get a way to get feedback on issues like thi staken care of faster!
Chris DuarteChris Duarte
Hey Leif - thanks for submitting feedback and drawing my attention back to this thread. As you've seen, our team has been working with people individually to try to diagnose the issue -- not everyone is experiencing it, so that makes it extra hard to figure out the problem. On our side, the challenge is passing with or without the components, but we get it that some people are not having that experience and that it is really frustrating as a result. That's why we're revisitng this challenge and changing it. Too many people have had a hard time with it. Look for a new challenge to go live soon.

As a side note, the Collaborate tab being renamed to Chatter in Winter '17 - unfortunately, the writer missed that when she was making her updates to the content in October for the Winter '17 upgrade. We are updating that text in our next content release (which should be in the next week or so).

Thanks again for the feedback.

Hi All,

I too faced the above issue when completing this challenge.
I had used Custom Label tab for Chatter and Activity instead of selecting it from Standard List.
Once I changed the Label for the above 2 tabs, I was able to pass the challenge :)

I am trying to complete the challenge. I can create the Account Record lightning page, add highlights, twitter and tabs and save successfully.
When I go back to the lightning page in the lightning app builder, the tabs component disappeared.
I tried to add and save again and again, it does not work.

Any help or info on this is appreciated.

Here is the error message I'm getting...
Challenge Not yet complete... here's what's wrong:
Lightning Page named 'New Account Page' does not appear to contain a Chatter tab with a Chatter feed component
.
There is nothing missing and I've tried with/without components on the tabs, Standard and Custom name type, and even removed the Tabs component all together. The only error I receive is the one above.

Hi Team,

We have built an opportunity screen and have multiple tabs each with a custom VF page built. What we want is when details in one of the VF page is updated, and when we move from one tab  to other within the same Opportunity, the VF page alone needs to reload in lighting. Is this possible?

Regards,
Y Dinesh

The trick seems to have been to select the custom tab name instead of selecting "Custom" to rename the new tab.
Arun KArun K
@kevin Brown 82 -  Your comment made me to think and use Standard tab insead of creating custom tab and renaming.
Guys, use the standard Activity and Chatter tab.

I'm having the same issue. Twitter component is on the page. Added the Chatter tab (even though the trailhead instructions don't list it (or the older Collaborate tab). Remove the chatter tab, removed all the tab components, and did the reverse, added all the tabs and tab components. Anyone have any other ideas?

I am also seeing the same issue. I wonder if it has to do with the Summer '18 release since it seems to have cropped up the last two weekends.

I can confirm that this is indeed an issue with Summer '18 orgs. The fix is in place for the next (imminent) Trailhead release that deals with Summer 18 orgs. Sorry for the inconvenience.

Just to add, in addition to following the instructions for adding the "New Account Page", I was able to see the new account page in action with a linked twitter account. Still, however, the trailhead challenge does not recognize the twitter.
