Switch from Email to SMS identity verification

SMS verification is enabled for my org. I still get email verifications. How do I change to get text only? I chose email in the past but cannot find the change back option and I feel like an idiot. Cannot find how to switch.

SMS-based Identity Confirmation provides users the possibility to receive the 5-digit verification code by SMS when they are challenged to authenticate a new IP address or a new device / browser from where they are logging in. Learn how to enable identity confirmation, below.

Resolution

Salesforce classic UI: Go to Setup | Security Controls | Session Settings, check box for Enable the SMS method of identity confirmation

New Lightning UI: Click on the top-right Gear | Setup Home | Security | Session Settings, check box forEnable the SMS method of identity confirmation.

The System Admin can add the mobile with the proper format under the User detail page and the mobile number is automatically considered verified

As mentioned in my question, SMS verification is enabled for my org.
When I login from a new location, it sends an email.
It does not send an SMS.
It does not ask me if I want email or SMS.
How do I get it back to SMS?

I have a valid number in there already. I verified it by selecting change and re-entering it. But it's not a new number.
