Contact Creation - Placing into "Lead" Stage by Default. Help? -PropertyBase

Good Afternoon,

Every time I create a new contact, it is automatically placing this contact under the "lead" stage by default. I've gone into the "force.com" sidebar and edited the field to uncheck this option as the default and for some reason, it is still doing the same thing. Any help...helps!

Is there any workflow / trigger/ Apex/ Flows doing this?
Please set your debug log and refer the flow of code to get to the error point.
