Community user cannot change Case Status on a custom case record type.

We set up a custom case record type for a team comprised of community users. THe users are unable to edit the case status of cases they work on. I've done the following:
Profile: Read, Create, and edit Cases are all checked
Role : Full acess to edit cases under the case team role

Any help would be appreciated. Thank you.

Check your Organization-Wide Sharing Rules Setup-->Setup-->Security Controls-->Sharing Settings for the setting of Cases. If you set it to "Private" , community users may not be able to edit the Status. Set read/write sharing rule for community users.

Thank you for the suggestion. Unfortunately I've tried that already and have no luck. We have other Partner Profiles who are using this function just fine. It seems to be JUST with this profile. Are the community users having edit access on the Case?
Just open the case record and click on sharing button to check who all and what all access if on that record.

If the community users are not having edit access, then we would have to give access to them using sharing rule (Check out : Sharing Sets)
