Use of Badges & Points

Can anyone please tell me the uses of Trailhead Badges & Points.

Will they be helpful in Certifications?

Trailhead badges & points will help you to know your learning progress in salesforce. Definitely Trailhead helps a lot for preparing certification as you can get hands on experience through Trailhead challenges. But in order to clear certification you need to concentrate on other salesforce resources(like help document) also!

Yes the Trilhead Modules and Trails are indeed helpful in preparing for the Certifications. You just need to pick the right trail what suits you. Not only certifications, but you easily get underwstanding of salesforce concepts using Trailhead. If you want to have even more Fun, you can check out "Projects" as well to face real life scenario's based on Salesforce.com.

But, the Badges and Points earned in Trailhead don't help in certifications. However they Develop your profile as a Salesforce Professional. You can Include your badges in your developer community proofile as well as show them off in your LinkedIn profile. This lets Employers get a bettr view on your capabilities.
