OpenID Connect & Salesforce issues

I am attempting to setup an integration with Salesforce and OpenID Connect with a 3rd party Identity Provider. I have configured my IdP properly, but when I attemp to allow access to the app I get an error that says

Check in the SSO validator for any error message.

The SSO Validator seems to only be for SAML. Is that the one you are referring to?

Our logging points to an issue with SFDC not sending the access_token. Is there something missing in the configuration that I should include which would cause that?

Sorry my bad, I assumed you had done an SSO integration with a 3rd party to delegate logging in.
What is the end point you are trying to hit?
