Is there a way to set the default value on a picklist by the user's profile?

I know that I can set it by the Record Type, but different groups use same record type. 

Any suggestions would be appreciated.

we want to use Jitterbit to upload data into Salesforce. Currently this only works for the System Administators. As I am one of the Admins, how do I change the users settings so that standard users can also use the Jitterbit uploda?

I am testing receiving the authentication token for my connected app so i can continue to build a simple consoleapp for salesforce.As a new developer of salesforce, I am having issues with testing Oauth through postman. 

I followed this guide here https://blog.mkorman.uk/using-postman-to-explore-salesforce-restful-web-services/ , but to no avail. 
When i click "request token", the salesforce login appears, however when i input my UN and PW i am given an error message reading
"Could not complete OAuth2.0 login"

I've also tried this way, and recieve an invalid_grant error, and have tried every body configuration.


Could someone point me in the right direction? I'd appreciate any help/tips. Thanks in advance!

Hi, I would like to create a Baidu Search link on accounts based on the same model than the Google Search link: http://www.google.com/search?q={!Account.Name}. Unfortunately, it doesn't seem to be as simple as just putting "baidu" instead of "google" in the quiery.

Hi I am looking for advice. I was loading data to salesforce using a data loader tool that we have (3rd party custom built tool). I had activated the critical update for the Require TLS 1.1 or higher for HTTPS connections and this has caused my loader tool to fail. It is accessing salesforce by webservices using https://www.salesforce.com/services/Soap/u/25.0 . When I deactivate the critical update the tool Works. In the application I have only four possible inputs: URL, file to be uploaded, username and password+token. Is there any way to bypass or correct the new connection method? Does anybody know what webservices address I should put now to meet the TLS requirements. (I hope I am explaining my issue well).

I completed the app and installed in my existing dev org. Getting the trailhead is unable to find the app Module_Tracker
I created trailhead playground and installed package there and still same issue.

I'm trying to import the data in order to proceed with the superbadge, but I'm stuck on trying to import the opportunities. I'm using Data Loader and am stuck at this step:



What do I map to the column headers "Account Name" and "Opportunity Name"? All combinations of things I have tried have resulted in errors when importing.
