Hi SF Dev Community,

We're looking to implement the deliverability settings in our org (DKIM, SPF, etc.).

If we start by making these updates in Sandbox, as not to affect our live production environment and users' daily actvities (e.g. workflow email alerts, etc.), is testing this in sandbox a reliable way to see if our settings (in SFDC and on our server) are working properly (e.g. test activities that generate email notifications), or does this all need to be done in production?

I'm wondering if our sandbox domain and IP, being different from production, will yield different results, or if that's a non factor?

Thanks.
Nick
Hi SF Community,

Has anyone had to update their users email addresses, where the new email addresses have a different domain?

For example:
Original user email address: joe@happycompany.com
New user email address: joe@pizzaapples.com

Our company has been purchased by another company and we need to update everyone's email addresses in SFDC.

1. We have the original domain (e.g, happycompany.com) configured in SFDC to send and receive mail from SFDC. Without these configurations, SFDC notifications get caught up in global spam filters and never make it to our inboxes. Are there certain settings we need to modify to ensure emails from SFDC continue to make it to our users inboxes, or does it even matter?

2. We have our own custom SFDC subdomain (MyDomain) set up based on our original company domian.  Does this need to be updated?

Thanks!
Nick
