Acutedge, a Philadelphia based Salesforce partner is looking for a Salesforce.com Certified Developer for ongoing projects –

You MUST have EXCELLENT verbal and written English skills.

Workload in the first 4 weeks could be up to 40 hrs/week. Thereafter approximately 20 hrs/week.

Consulting experience preferred.

Qualifications:

• Expert in Salesforce.com APEX triggers, classes and Visualforce, including deployment to production (i.e. test classes coding)

• Comfortable with reading through existing code and modifying it

• Expert in javascript and DOM Manipulations

• Expert in manipulating custom links in Salesforce.com

In the first 4 weeks your task list may be as follows -

New VF component
Create a VF component to be included in Accounts and Contacts page layouts

The VF component will have the following features:

• Show relationships in a "Tree graphic view"
• The VF should be able to support creation and viewing of the following relationships:
• Via a custom relationship object, relationship between Contact to Contact
• Via a custom relationship object, relationship between Contact to Account
• Via a custom relationship object, relationship between Account to Account
• Account Hierarchy (via the standard parent account field)
• Contact and Campaign, via the campaign Member standard object
• Ability to search for relationships and do a quick view of the related record
• Support for multi-level display (i.e. Contact A is employee to Account A; Expanding Account A, you will see that Account A is a parent account of Account B and C; Expanding Account C, you will see that it has employee Contact B, and expanding Contact B, you will see that he is a Coordinator at Campaign A)

Existing Visualforce editing:

Edit an existing Key Contacts VF to change its behavior. The Key Contacts VF is a VF embedded in an Accounts Page Layout and if a new Contact is created through this VF, the record type selected for the contact must be dependent on the record type from which the contact was created (i.e. if Account is Home Office Record type, the contact created must be defaulted to Legislative Individual record type)

Trigger Creation:

Create a trigger on create and on update on the Activity / Task standard object. Whenever a task is completed, it will look at the parent Account or Contact and then query all tasks completed under the parent account and update the total number to some fields in the parent account/contact
Copying of VF and APEX classes and trigger

Some VF's and triggers are created for Contacts which supports Additional addresses for contacts, plus some behaviors. A similar object (Additional address) is created for Accounts but all VF's, triggers and classes created for the first objects should be replicated to the new object (and of course edited to use the naming convention of the new object). No additional new features - just a direct copy of all VF and triggers/classes

VF Javascript:

A VF Javascript must be created to rename "Total Value Won Donations" in Programs page to "Total Value Donations" (i.e. remove the word Won). Currently, the labels are not available to be changed using standard wizard.

VF page labels:

Some existing VF components need some label changes (i.e. Zip/PostalCode should be "Zip / Postal Code").

There are other labels all over the org that need fixing.

Please email your resume highlighting any relevant experience and your rate/salary requirements to jobs@acutedge.com.

Thanks!

Sandeep

I am trying to create a report that displays Accounts, opportunities and contact information in one report. I have created a custom report type - Account with Contacts with Opportunities. When you run the report it brings up all Accounts that have Contacts whether they have an Opportunity or not. I tried to use aFilter, Opportunity Name "does not equal" _____(blank so it eliminates opps that dont have a name, hence dont exist), however I cant get the filter to work. It still brings up all accounts and contacts whether they have an oportunity or not.

1. Not all our Opportunities have Contact roles, therefore we dont want to run a report that uses Contact Roles

2. The goal is to see Accounts, Opportunities adn Contacts in the same report, however only for Accounts that have an Opportunity.

Any help is appreciated.

Thanks!

Hello,

I am installing the new starter pack onto an existing nonprofit edition with old template. The application does not have any data and has not been used. While installing Contacts & Organizations (version 0.7.9.5), I get the following error, does anyone know why this is happening? I have checked and there are no rules, or logic that I can find that may cause this. Also, they have the Individual bucket account that came with the older nonprofit edition. Any help is appreciated.

Thanks,

Sandeep

Hello,

Does any one know if there is a way to setup a default dashboard for all users? We would like a specific dashboard to display on users' homepage. Is there a way to do this easily?

Thank you!

Our company provides Human Resource support to other small and medium sized businesses.  We have created a number of Human Resource oriented programs in Excel for our clients.  We would like these to be accessed via SalesForce to control ownership of the content.

* Each worksheet represents one week of work for an employee. Hours worked by day are posted, revenue and commissions are posted as applicable and there are calculations done to determine overtime hours.

* This needs to have a professional feel and can't have extended delays when posting.

* A demonstrated track record f success is required.

This is the first of multiple projects.  SalesForce may not be the best platform for this solutions, but it is our first choice.

Hello,

I am using this formula field to return a date value based on the picklist value selected. It works for one picklist value, however I have 3 values (Monthly, Quarterly, Annual) in the picklist that would update the formula field with different date values and I can't get it to work.

I tried using the CASE function, adn kept getting error "Field Monthly does not exist". Any help is appreciated....may be somehow combine three IF conditions in one formula...or do I need to use workflows?

IF(ISPICKVAL(Contract_Term__c, "Monthly"), Contract_Start_Date__c  + 30, null)

Thanks...

Hi all,

I am looking for someone to put a UI on my custom force.com application. In the near future, we are going to be using force.com sites as a way to share part of our application with our partners and we are looking for someone that can put a face on our application. Please get in touch if you are interested and we can discuss further.

Thanks

Chris

Hi,

I'm looking for an independent programmer to help with a small customisation job. My estimate is for 2-3 days work. The aim is to create an order entry page on the Salesforce contact page. The purpose of this page is to make the data entry easier for the users.

What we have at the moment are two custom objects:  Sales Order object (master) and an Order Item object (detail).

By clicking on a "New Order" Button the user creates an order header. After filling out the required data, most of which comes pre-filled out from the Contact page the user saves and then clicks on an "Add Item" button and adds items to the order. On each item record the user looks up the product page and returns data from the product page.

Certain business rules make the users do more data entry that could be automated. For example, each Order Item record can only have the same Order Type as the Sales Order, so if a user needs to put in different Order Types they have to create multiple Sales Orders and attach items. Likewise, different purchase order numbers must be on different Sales Orders.

My client finds this too labour intensive. I'd like someone who knows Apex and Visualforce and is a capable communicator to design and code a page that allows Sales Orders and Items to be added on the one page.

I can send a spec to interested parties. This needs to be done preferably in the next two weeks and I'd need a firm quote after you read the spec. I'm based in Australia which is GMT +11 so please take this into consideration as I'm sure neither you nor I want 3am phone meetings.

Reply to this post and I'll contact you if I'm interested.

Our nonprofit (www.campusphilly.org/about) is finishing our implementation of Salesforce. We could use a consultant to guide us through some more implementation, so that we can better figure out our user roles/permissions, Outlook and Gmail integration, using the product sales functions, when to use the opportunities function.

I am willing to work with a remote consultant. You don't have to be in Philly necessarily. We are price sensitive, but mainly we really need people who are good at communication and independent follow-up. We need a nudge with good advice and good manners.

Please contact me at jon@campusphilly.org

We have a relatively small Salesforce database (about 2,000 accounts), and need some assistance merging, de-duping, and insuring that data relationships are correct.  Please respond if you have suggestions.

Thanks,
