Blue Shield of California is seeking a highly-skilled Salesforce.com developer with a proven track record of development within a CRM tool. This position can be located in our San Francisco or Woodland Hills, CA office.
 
The Salesforce.com Developer works collaboratively with a team supporting multiple applications on the salesforce platform. The Developer is required to deliver reliable and efficient code while keeping in mind the enterprise wide implications. This position will be working for our Large Group Specialty Benefits business unit in the Operations & Innovation group. The position will function independently with minimal oversight and direction.

THE CANDIDATE MUST BE ABLE TO WORK OUT OF OUR SAN FRANCISCO OR WOODLAND HILLS OFFICE.

 
Responsibilities:
 
Manage complete software development lifecycle.
Develop/write code (Apex Code and S-Controls) in Salesforce.com to support the business process.
Collaborate with a team on options/solutions to processes.
Help architect, develop, and enhance a system to support internal customers.
Lead the execution and documentation of sound testing efforts (unit and system).
Research Salesforce.com capabilities as needed to suit business requirements, and provide gap analysis.
Provide Tier I and Tier II support of Salesforce.com through troubleshooting, technical resolution, enhancement implementation, and best practices development.
Actively participate and lead workshops to understand and document data and Salesforce.com system integration requirements.
 
Requirements:
 
Generally requires 5 to 8 years of professional experience directly related to all aspects of the primary product, program or technology. Minimum of 5 to 8 years of overall technical experience.
Previous experience with business process and work flow and translating them into system requirements.
Minimum programming experience: Java, JavaScript, SQL, HTML, and web programming.
Strongly preferred programming experience: Ajax, Apex, C#, Flex, SOQL, VisualForce.
Experience configuring and supporting a CRM application, strongly prefer Salesforce.com.
Fluent in object-oriented programming concepts and best practices.
Must be able to work on multiple projects simultaneously, give appropriate and timely status reports
A self-starter with excellent interpersonal and verbal/written communication skills.
Consistently strives for success with a proven track record of performance.
Good judgment in technical assessments and problem solving abilities.
