According to the help file

SELECT Account.Name, LastName, FirstName, Owner.Name FROM Contact

is supposed to work. All I get are error messages:

Parent relationship queries are not allowed: Account.Name

Is there a way to dynamically create sharing rules based on some predefined rules. like giving access to records dynamically using apex triggers/controller.
