Is there any updates wrt creating test classes for apex that queries external objects?

I have a VF page rendering as a pdf and have added an action calling a method in controller to attach the pdf to the record.
When it runs, it attaches 5 times. How can i generate a pdf to allow for preview and have it attach only once to record?
If I put buttons on page to accomplish the attachment, I believe the pdf will show the buttons.

Any suggestions????

When I try to call a flow from apex, i get an error. I am not sure if there is an issue with the flow or how i am calling it.

I only want the third word from the strings, I am stucked with the third formula , can anybody help me out...Here what I am trying : IF( NOT( ISBLANK(Name)) ,RIGHT( Name , ((LEN(Name) - FIND("", Name)) - FIND("",Name))  , MID(Name,Find(" ",Name,Find(" ",Name,1)+1)+1,Find(" ",Name,Find(" ",Name,Find(" ",Name,1)+1)+1)-(Find(" ",Name,Find(" ",Name,1)+1)+1)))
But not getting correct O/P ,when Name contains only three words. It work well when Name has four word in it.
Please help me out with the formula.

Hi,

We have a trigger that is 'firing' when a status field is updated by a timebased workflow rule, but when the trigger is firing we are getting a lot of 'Too many SOQL queries: 101' errors. Does somebody has some ideas where to start looking? The trigger looks like this:

I am trying to call a flow from an Apex class that will eventually run on a monthly basis but i cannot get the syntax correct. Can anyone help me? 

I do not need to pass any values or params into the flow. Just need to call it.
