Trying to get started with creating a custom quote pdf button to be used primarily for a record type that is a quote that has "Not Been Approved" (Unapproved). 

I can use the SF standard "Create PDF"button for the record type that have quotes that are "Approved". 

Not familiar with creating a button using Visualforce.   Have created buttons mainly with Appextremes Conga Composer but today, our company does not want to use them anymore.

Does anyone have a sample that would help me get started or provide instructions on how to get me started?  Thank you      

Was wondering if someone has successfully accomplished cloning a quote and the related quote line items?  I need it to create a new quote revision without creating a whole new quote with new quote number...just a new revision number.

 

I am struggling and thought that this task has probaly been done by someone "out there"...
