Why does it say (hidden) when I try an open resources in the developer console?

Whenever I open resources for some of the lightning components I am using the code is not there and it just says (hidden) what would be causing this?

I was wondering if it was possible to add classes to lightning components you add to your page, so I can add custom css to the elements.  Is this possible?
