Everyday Health is seeking a Salesforce Database Administrator who will be responsible for simultaneously managing multiple interdisciplinary projects ranging from small-scale maintenance to complex, impactful projects.  This is an opportunity to utilize your outstanding analytical, leadership and technical skills to redefine everyday business operations as well existing and new products.  You will work across multiple departments and stakeholders to create tools and processes that help extend the business and generate incremental revenue opportunities. You will also direct and give guidance to a data and results driven team.

Responsibilities:
  • Interpret business requirements and programming specifications to write software programs that solve business needs
  • Proven ability to independently perform development, testing, implementation, documentation and updating as it relates to the SalesForce.com software and system administration
  • Implement new enhancements including creation of custom objects, workflows, email alerts and templates, and campaigns
  • Develop and maintain visualforce, Force.com pages and integration to other third party solutions
  • Identify SFDC usage problems and craft technical / communication plans to IT/business teams
  • Solid business analysis skill. Must have good inter-personal skills and be able to mentor & motivate team members
  • Must be comfortable in rapidly changing and sometimes ambiguous work situations. Keen attention to detail and complex problem solving abilities from operational and technical perspective. Ability to work independently and engage supervisor as needed
  • Experience documenting and analyzing processes, procedures, and/or policies. Ability to handle full workload and meet proposed deadlines.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree 2-3 years of experience with technical implementations of CRM projects
  • 2 years of experience functioning as a Salesforce.com administrator for Enterprise edition or higher (preferably at mid to large, multi-dimensional organization)
  • 2+ years Force.com development experience, with a strong focus on Apex, Visualforce, java, jscript, development.
  • Salesforce.com Certification a PLUS
  • Proficiency with Salesforce.com development including creation of standard and custom objects and fields etc.
  • Good understanding of data structures, data modeling , db schema is required.
  • Experience in moving code from lower sandboxes to production environment and address issues related to functionality, integration, etc.
  • Experience with other CRM software a plus.
  • Experience with enterprise integration tools and extract, transformation and load (ETL) tools.
  • Experience in Agile development methodology/Scrum is preferred

Responsibilities:

  • Aggregate business requirements from multiple departments and sources to (re)engineer Salesforce tools and processes that optimize and generate revenue opportunities, reduce cost, improve margins/metrics and streamline workflows
  • Develop fields, objects, validation rules, triggers, custom code, and automated processes in various systems and databases (Salesforce, Cognos, DART) to address and improve new and existing business needs
  • Maintain data integrity in various databases by implementing rules to mitigate error and assuring accuracy and consistency
  • Liaise with 3rd party vendors to troubleshoot, QA, and push for business needs enhancements
  • Continually assess day to day tasks in order to optimize, streamline, and automate
  • Be the primary driver and owner of our partnership with the dedicated SFA Customer Success Manager for system upgrades and growth
  • Train end users, continuously improving and optimizing system based on their feed back
  • Update training guides and documentation
Job Requirements :
 
  • 1+ years experience as a Salesforce Administrator or Developer
  • Experience with Visualforce and Java (APEX experience is a plus)
  • Strong attention to detail, especially when working with a large amount of data
  • Demonstrated ability to meet deadlines, work independently, think creatively, investigate thoroughly
  • Willing and able to adapt to multiple demands and shifting priorities
  • Quick learner and able to rapidly acquire and apply technical skills
  • Ability to work with and manage cross-functional teams
  • Excellent verbal/written/visual communication skills
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business or Finance or Technology is preferred
