Trailhead Login Issues

When I attempt to connect to my Developer Edition from a module, instead of connecting as usual I'm just returned to the Trailhead homepage and when I return to the model I'm still not connected....any ideas?

Validation Rule or Workflow Update when owner is changed

Is there anyone to have validation rules and workflow updates fire when a user does the Change Owner feature?  Currently none of them seem to fire.
