Hello!

I have two date fields
1. "Due Date at Customer"
2. "Quote Completion Date"

Is there a way to create a formula field/logic into these two fields?

Essentially, what I am trying to accomplish is to:
1. Create a report off of these two fields to track if one our quotes, was devilvered on time.

For example: If the Due Date at Customer is 2/28/14, and the Quote Completion Date is 2/27/14, then a field is populated as TRUE, or CHECKED, or something?

Same goes for if the Due Date at Customer is 2/28/14, and the Quote Completiion Date is 3/10/14, then the field is FALSE, or CHECKED, or something.

Does this make sense?

Thank you advance!
Hello!

I have two date fields
1. "Due Date at Customer"
2. "Quote Completion Date"

Both of these Date fields are Stage dependent and required at the "Quoting", " Proposal", and Follow-Up" stages.

What I am trying to accomplish is:

If the Stage, is moved to "Requoting". Is there a way to clear the date fields completely and still allow the user to save?

Thanks in advance!
I am working on salesforce with dashboards and system does not permit me becuase this error appears,

Error:The running user for this dashboard is inactive. Your system administrator should select an active user for this dashboard.

How do I change the running user to an active user??

Thank you.

Hello!

I have created a letterhead and use that letterhead in creating an HTML Email template. When I send a Test eemail internally  the HTML graphic does NOT appear in the email. However, when previewing, I am able to see it.

I have followed each step meticulously, not sure what other options I have?

Any recommendations or assistance is greatly appreciated.

Thanks in advance!

*Note*  I don't see this being an Outlook issue for I recieve HTML emails daily with no issue (as I'm sure you do to)

*Note* the Letterhead image/banner is a JPEG

Cheers.

Hello!

I'm looking for help with the following. I need to set up a rule that the President and VP Sales & Marketing are the only ones allowed to move an opportunity to the "Quoting" stage.

Thanks in advance!

Hello!

I have a custom field in the Accounts tab called, " Strategic Account", which is a NUMBER field

I need to have this custom field in the OPPORTUNITY layout.

So for example if I start a new Opportunity and select Account Name: Company ABC, the Strategic Account field will automatically populate to the number I associated it with in Accounts.

Thanks in advance!

Hello!

I have three different fields dependencies. Each has a score associated with it. Each are picklists

1.  Core product score ( 0, 1, 2)

2. Sub Segment (o, 1, 2)

3. Product Class score (0, 1, 2)

Say for example the the numbers come out as followed..

Core Product score = 1

Sub Segment score = 2

Product Class score=1

Total Score= 4

I'm trying to put in a validation fule on the field "TOTAL SCORE"  which would calculate/sum these three fields.

Thanks in advance!

Hello!

I'm trying to input a simple validation rule to calculate a gross profit number

Fields are:

Amount (Currency 16,2)

Estimated GP %  ( percentage 16, 2)

Gross Profit ( Currency 16,2)

The rule i've tried is

Amount  *  Estimated_GP__c

I receive an error that states " Error: Formula result is data type (Number), incompatible with expected data type (true or false)"

Thanks for your help in advance!!

Any help is appreciatd in advance!

I'm looking to set limits for specific profiles.

I want Sales people as the only ones who can create a new opportunity.

Would this be something that needs to be set up in Roles or Profiles?

Is this possible?

Thank you!!!!

Any help is appreciated in advance!

So..

is there way in Salesforce to create a workflow rule that sends an email alert to a specific user

WHEN..

Any time an opportunity is modified? I'm talking about SPECIFIC FIELDS that are modified.

For Example: I'm a salesperson, and I just modifed the "Start of Production" field, or the"Amount" field. Ideally, the email alert would look something like this;

Subject: Opportunity Modified

Text: "Owner" just modified the "Start of Production" field, 11/27/12 at 1:10pm.

Experts? Are you out there???? Please help.

Beers on me.

THANK YOU!

Hola,

Seeking help with a validation rule I want to put in place.

I have 2 picklists.

First picklist is Stage Name, "Negotiation/Review"

Second picklist is called   "User_Buyer_s_Degree_of_Influence__c"

Basically what I'm looking for is..

If the stagename, Negotiation/Review is selected, and the User Buyers Degree of Influence is not selected, the save is blocked.

I get the ISPICKVAL can be used for the Stage Name, but I get an error if i use ISPICKVAL for the User buyer...

Thanks in advance!!!!!

Within our "Opportunity" layout we have several fields

1. Amount ( projected annual rev; default)

2. Estimated Gross Profit %

3. Gross Profit

For example-

Our Sales agent is working on an opportunity for company XYZ. We know that..

1. Amount = $255,933

2. Estimated Gross Profit % = 35%

3. Gross Profit= ?

Is there a formula or validation rule that allows the Gross Profit # to generate based off the Amount and GP %

Thank you in advance.

-Rob Kretzmer

Is this a validation rule? or workflow action with time dependent variables?

Goal:

To have a notifciation email sent to the opportunity owner ( and VP, etc)

when..

If the STAGE has been in "Follow-Up" >30 Days

Thanks in  advance!

Seeking some assistance with custom summary formulas in reporting on Opportunities.

I'd like to define  certain opportunities with  >  & <  values and applying a certain color to those  values..

For example:

If the amount is < 200k - color will be GREEN

If the amount is > 50k - color will be BLUE

If the Opportunity is checked ( true) as "Focused" - Color will be YELLOW.

I may be barking up the wrong tree here?

Would  really appreciate  any input.

Thanks in advance.

We have a checkbox field in Opportunities called " Focused"

Need a rule to stop the Save

Ex: If Focused is TRUE - these fields become required in order to save.

Those fields include:

Where is the need for our service?

What bases are not covered?

Who is our coach?

Drivers not to buy with us?

Thanks in advance!

Need a  rule formula for:

If the Stage ( stage duration) hasn't been modified in 2 weeks, an email alert will be sent to the Opportunity Owner -

I have the email alert set up already. Just  need some help with the rule.

Thanks in advance!

We have multiple users ( sales, egineering, customer service, mangement) with different profiles operating in our CRM. I would like to create a validation rule In the Opportunities Tab -Stage - ( picklist) "Proposal". What I want this rule to do is, whenever the Stage is changed to Proposal- A notification e-mail will be sent to the Opportunity Owner. Can anybody point me in the right direction? Thanks in advance!

I would like to set a validation rule into my "stages" picklist in Opportunities.  I would like to have a rule -set to an approval process- before the stage is set to "follow up". I have the approval process set up. I'm lost on the structure of what the validation rule must be set to. Any assistance would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.
