Our developer reported sudden mixed DML errors in code that has worked for months with no changes.  Any ideas why this happened between releases?

The candidate will provide development and testing expertise with SFDC Apex, Visual Force based on requirements as well as provide enterprise support and implementation of SalesForce.com projects.  The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing requirements, coding changes for the Force.com platform, including Communities, performing system configuration to match requirements, and providing training on new functionality.  The candidate must be able to analyze current processes and needs, and determine solutions under the Force.com framework.

Responsibilities

• Perform duties under general direction from the Manager, Managed Service Delivery
• Develop software solutions using SFDC Apex, Visual Force development and testing based on requirements
• Define and create functional documents by translating business requirements into specifications
• Create and execute unit and integration test plans to ensure a quality solution is delivered
• Develop and maintain software specifications utilizing design constructs and standards
• Interact with business analysts and marketing staff to understand business requirements and translate these into technical designs
• Integrate third-party SalesForce apps as well as other third-party software
• Executes configuration changes
• Executes new functionality rollouts and new release evaluations
• Act as a backup Salesforce administrator:
o Provide SalesForce support after implementation
o Analyze existing software for impact of desired enhancements
o Interact with production support staff and assist in the timely resolution of  production issues
o Develop ad-hoc reports as requested by user groups or stakeholders
o Performs manual or automated data entry / data clean-up as required
o Produce, maintain, and improve all system documentation related to SalesForce
o Maintains security settings and conducts regular security / configuration audits
o Develops and maintains naming conventions of picklists, report folders, dashboards, etc to improve system usability
o Hands-on with users to resolve problems, design enhancements and improve the SalesForce implementation


Qualifications

• Undergraduate degree preferred – IS major preferred
• 1 year experience with SFDC Apex, Visual Force development and testing
• Complex SFDC Apex, Visual Force development and testing is preferred
• Completion of multiple Salesforce integration and extension projects in development role
• Experience with add-in applications like billing or contract management is a plus
• Business analysis and software product development knowledge
• Strong organizational and written / verbal communication skills
• Detail oriented; analytical and problem solving skills
• Works well with a team
• Understanding of Object-Oriented design principles required
• SQL, Java, Oracle, SOAP or XML knowledge a plus
• Experience with financial, accounting and/or HR applications a plus
