How to display the eeror message below the field using javascipt.

Hi,
Please help me out with trigger…

In the contact object if we are giving the details of contact (for e.g., email) if we are giving the same email id which was given for first time then it should accept(i.e., accepting the dupliactes).
When the same thing (mentioned above) is doing in the Account object related list of contact then it should not allow the duplicates.

In a case object to find out the records closed with in 10 days
& records opened with in 10 days

In the edit page when the picklist value is closed it should display an error message through popup  by using java script.

Null value field can be stored by number & if the field already contains number then it cannot be replaced with any number.If the field contain  number and it is replaced with any digit then it should thrown an error
