We designs, builds, and implements Salesforce.com solutions for mid-market and enterprise companies nationwide.  The Remote Delivery Manager position is a work-from-home position, where you will manage a small team of project leads & developers, along with our offshore team.  This position is ultimately responsible for the success of our professional service team, including project delivery, customer satisfaction, profit/loss, and utilization.

The Remote Delivery Manager reports directly to the CEO, participates in quarterly strategy definition, and receives partnership compensation based on overall practice performance.

Job Responsibilities

Project Success
  • You will oversee a small team of certified salesforce project leads, all of whom diligently work from home, and are responsible each for managing up to 5 clients.
  • You are a very hands on coach who knows how to manage a team to consistent success, regarding client management, project management, solution design, and help them avoid common pitfalls.
  • You will be responsible for ensuring your team follows company policy and procedures to consistently deliver excellence.
  • You will effectively maintain delivery goals for on-time, to-spec, and on-budget across the entire project portfolio.
  • You will have authority over budget, hiring, written warnings, and termination.
  • You will be the escalation point for all project leads and clients on service related issues.
  • You will make resource requests to the resource manager for proper capacity planning.
Sales Engineering
  • You may reserve up to 2 hrs/day to assist sales in scoping & project estimation efforts.
  • You may also pull in your project leads to assist with scoping or estimation assistance.
Account Management
  • Identify and build additional opportunities by fostering and expanding client relationships.  
  • Cultivate additional revenue opportunities and collaborate with account management.  
  • Manage and oversee strategic accounts.
Culture / People Strategy
  • Design both an on-going education program and employee retention plan, delegate the management of these programs, and oversee their success.
  • Instill fun, satisfaction, and high-energy into your team to create a culture balanced with over-achievement and enthusiasm.
Job Requirements
  • Minimum of three (3) years in salesforce consulting, with skills in requirements scoping, solution design, and project estimation.
  • Minimum of two (2) years managing at least three (4) professional services resources both onshore and offshore.  Projects based consulting is preferred.  Managing Salesforce implementation resources (internal and/or consultants) is a definite plus.
Business Knowledge:
  • Project implementation industry either from professional services consultancy firm or client internal project management office. 
  • Resource management including staffing, planning and utilization. 
  • Project management planning and/or sales of projects.
  • Career development of professional resources. 
  • Knowledge of implementation project management methodology.
  • Budgetary preparation, presentation and revisions.
General: 
  • Ability to work both collaboratively with team members as well as autonomously on projects and tasks
  • Outgoing and engaging individual who is effective at building good working relationships with all levels of the organization
  • Demonstrated professionalism, tact, diplomacy, discretion, and judgment
  • Detail- and customer-oriented team player with excellent organizational and follow-up skills
