I know the answer was 'no' in v5, but I can't find an answer (or any documentation) in v6.

Can you trigger the web-to-lead auto-response rules via the API in 6?

The SF documentation implies that it is possible for self-service users to upload attachments via the self-service portal:

"self-service super user who can view case information, add comments, and upload attachments"

I can't see any way to do this through SF - am I missing something, or is it only available via the API? Or do I not have the right version (I'm on Professional v6)?

Is it possible to invoke a lead assignment rule when uploading new leads through the API?  I found a posting from May 2004 which suggested the answer is "no", but I'm inquiring, hoping this has been implemented.  If it is possible, could you provide a code example (.Net preferred)?
