Salesforce offers 3 types of portals including self-service portal, customer portal, and partner portal. Self-service and customer being a tad bit similar where the main functionality revolves around providing online support and support tickets to their end-users.
On the other hand, I found other solutions like Salesforce customer portal that provides similar functionalities of role-based accessibility, real-time support, ticketing system, and secured data sharing.
Can anyone tell me what is the better solution for my WordPress CMS..??

How to add select check box after displaying Lead and Contact records in visualforce page.
I have written the apex class and visual force page for displaying records both leads and contacts here is my code..........

I have one requirement in which i want to push data from wordpress page to salesforce object.

In Example,

I have one registration page in wordpress and when i hit save, the data of registration form needs to be save as salesforce custom object record.

Is it possible to achieve ?
Have anybody worked on community portal?

Hi there


I'm really puzzled.  In the environment that I'm in, I have enabled customer portal.  Yet when I look at the custom object definition, I do not see the checkbox "Available for Customer Portal".


In my test sandbox the checkbox is there.


The objects that I'm talking about were actually created after the customer portal has been enabled.


What am I missing?



Does anyone know when the Communities implementation guide will be released? There are references to it in the Ideas IG, but I cannot find it on the web.


Does anyone have a good resource for implementing Ideas in the new Communities? Can I just use the old Customer Portal documentation?

Is it possible to create new customer portal user using Manage Users functionality of setup menu? or


Is it possible to create visualforce page functionality to create these type of users?

I want to ask is it possible to view, create, edit Account or Contact records in Customer Portal? I only can create, edit, view Cases in Customer portal user.. I want to have access to Account or COntact using customer portal user. Any suggestions would be great..

I inquired with the salesforce support and they told me it is not possible. But I went through lot of forums that talked about custom objects and the customer portal user profiles.
